Each CAN line has fuse & TVS clamp; bus on 3-pin 3.81mm pluggable terminal. Open Protocols: Ships with candleLight (gs_usb)—Linux kernel driver built-in, appears as SocketCAN, nothing to install. Use with cangaroo, can-utils, python-can. Reflash to slcan from canable.io in browser. USB on Lead: 15.4in/39cm captive cable—no blocked ports, less strain, board 19mm shorter than SH-C30A. Ideal for recessed or tight spaces. New Firmware, Free: Stock candleLight ignores 24MHz crystal. Our build uses it and lights TX/RX LEDs. Units from Sep 2026 ship with it; earlier update over USB—free & optional.
